Mandarin Orange Spice Tea
4/26/2009 12:56:49 PM

One of our favorite herbal teas is the Mandarin Orange Spice Tea from Celestial Seasonings. It's a caffeine-free blend of orange peel, hibiscus, roasted chickory, rosehips, blackberry leaves, chamomile, hawthorn berries, cinnamon, cloves and coriander. As it steeps, the kitchen fills with a spicy orange scent. It is always a warming, soothing break from the day. I'm happily enjoying a cup while writing this review.

Try Mandarin Orange Spice Tea from Celestial Seasonings for a nice afternoon or evening change of pace. Available from many finer grocers, you can also find it online at CoffeeForLess.com

Peet's Arabian Mocha Java coffee
4/24/2009 5:49:19 PM

Arabian Mocha Java - just the name itself conjures up visions of exotic middle eastern cities, with crowded coffee shops and cafés set among the hustle and bustle of a busy marketplace. So it should come as no surprise that the Arabian Mocha Java blend from Peet's Coffee & Tea tastes as deliciously exotic as the name implies.

Mocha Java may be one of the oldest and best known coffee blends in the world, but not many have been done better than the Arabian Mocha Java blend from Peet's Coffee & Tea . Sporting a full-bodied, very smooth flavor with just a hint of bittersweet chocolate in the aftertaste, this is a rich, satisfying coffee morning afternoon or evening.

Go ahead, lose yourself to the exotic. Try the Arabian Mocha Java Blend from Peet's Coffee & Tea . You won't be sorry.

Chocolate Orange Truffle Tea
4/19/2009 9:10:11 PM

Two of my favorite flavors have always been chocolate and orange, either combined or by themselves. Imagine my delight to see them featured as part of a 6 tin loose leaf chocolate flavored tea sampler set from Mighty Leaf Tea . The 6 tin sampler set arrived today and I couldn't wait to try them out. Of course, the first one I tried was the Chocolate Orange Truffle.

It is a wonderful combination of black tea, green tea, jasmine flowers, vanilla bean bits, orange peels and chocolate and cacao nibs. It is a medium-bodied tea with a slightly sweet taste. The aroma of citrus and chocolate is wonderful, but it is the aftertaste of the chocolate that makes it seem silghtly decadent. It will be an absolute pleasure to taste and review each of the Chocolate Truffle teas from Mighty Leaf Tea .

Tea with dessert just got a lot better!

Farmer's Daughter coffee from the Organic Coffee Cartel
4/10/2009 12:25:39 PM

With my first cup of the Farmer's Daughters coffee from the Organic Coffee Cartel, I realized I had another favorite coffee to add to my list. It's a single origin coffee from Zaragoza, Mexico, located in the Oaxaca coffee-growing lands high in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains. The OCC, which donates a majority of its profits to charity, prides itself on selling only 100% certified organic coffees.

The Farmer's Daughters coffee is a medium roast, well-balanced coffee. It has a complex flavor with an undertone of semi-sweet chocolate and a slightly sweet aftertaste containing an almost fruity lilt. Excellent with dessert after any meal, it also makes for a great stand alone cup anytime of the day.

The Farmer's Daughters coffee is one of eight seasonal coffees offered by the Organic Coffee Cartel. I look forward to trying each variety.
